FAQ

  • What is an IGT safety device?
  • The IGT Gas safety device is a regulator based gas safety device that will take care of the user’s safety needs by automatically shutting off the gas flow leakage in the gas pipe and saves the user from any unforeseen accident.
  • Is IGT Safety Regulator compatible with all cylinders?
  • Yes, our gas safety device is compatible with all domestic cylinders (HP Gas, Bharat Gas, Indane, Super gas, Reliance gas) and more.
  • How should I connect my IGT gas regulator to the gas cylinder?
  • Installation of an IGT gas regulator to the cylinder is an easy task, follow these instructions to ensure complete safety:

    • Fit the regulator hose to the outlet nozzle and Use water and liquid soap for lubrication of the hose. Insert firmly and clamp it using the hose clamp.

    • Make sure not to change or remove the seal cap from the cylinder valve in the presence of open lights or flames.

    • Press the push button horizontally, mount the regulator on the cylinder and press the regulator firmly down and release.

    • Turn on by turning the level, after ensuring that the regulator is connected firmly on the cylinder.

    • For further best practice read an instruction manual given with the product and or advice to see the video on youtube "https://youtu.be/h2Yy3YD1jQU"

  • How often should you change gas regulators and hose?
  • Gas regulator (Gas safety device) and hoses should be routinely inspected or tested and replaced in case of faulty or damaged to avoid potential safety hazards when using gas equipment. However, it is recommended to replace gas hoses every 2 years and gas regulators every 5 years before the gas regulator and hose expiry date.
  • How does the IGT safety device (regulator) detect leakage?
  • IGT safety device automatically detects the gas leakage and shuts off the gas flow to the appliance. It helps in leakage detection and indicates when to refill the cylinder and provides leak-tight connection and seals minor leaks from the cylinder valve and Facilitates clean LPG to the appliances.
  • How should I perform a leak test on my gas cylinder?
  • IGT safety device automatically detects the gas leakage and shuts off the gas flow to the appliance. It helps in leakage detection and indicates when to refill the cylinder and provides leak-tight connection and seals minor leaks from the cylinder valve and Facilitates clean LPG to the appliances.

The gas appliance should be shut off, once the regulator is connected to it through a gas hose.

    • Make sure the regulator is attached in the correct and switched to the “ON” position on the gas cylinder valve.

    • The dial of the indicator should then go into the green area.

    • The Regulator switch is moved back to the “OFF’’ position. The dial of the indicator should then remain in the green area and the user should wait for 5 min.

    • If the dial is still in the same green area the installation is safe without leaks but if the dial has moved to yellow or blue color, the installation is not safe and should be checked by leak detection spray.

    • Any leak should be eliminated before the use of the appliance.

  • How to detect leakage in the IGT Safety Regulator?
  • Once the gas regulator is fixed and the needle stands still. Watch it for 5 minutes. If the needle starts moving without getting attached to the stove, it will indicate that there is some leakage in the pipe. Remove the regulator and replace the cylinder to prevent any unforeseen accident.
  • What is the Special safety feature of the IGT Gas Safety Regulator?
  • Our Gas Safety Regulators provide special safety features to meet certain safety standards.
  • What is the Special safety feature of the IGT Gas Safety Regulator?
  • Our Gas Safety Regulators provide special safety features to meet certain safety standards.

    • Leak & Level Indicator: Detect any gas leakage before the gas appliance is ignited and indicate your cylinders low gas level

    • Advanced Lock System: Push Lock system leads in better locking with the valve and double locking prevents accidental removal.

    • Excess Flow Cut Off: Designed to automatically shut-off gas when the hose pipe is Damage/Rupture

    • Dual Gas Sealed Technology: Facilitates leak-tight connection on the cylinder

  • What is the advantage of the IGT gas regulator?
  • IGT gas regulators have many advantages apart from facilitating safety. It controls the excess flow valve and saves from utilizing excess gas. Its advanced lock system is made up of metal bodies, eventually saving it from getting burnt. It will provide exact gas pressure. The colors demonstrated at the meter gauge are easy to understand.
  • How should I disconnect my gas regulator?
  • To disconnect the gas regulator from the cylinder turn OFF the lever dismount by horizontally pressing the push button and pulling off the regulator vertically.
  • What are IGT gas regulators made of?
  • IGT Safety Regulators are made of a special Zinc alloy body, Zinc nozzle, and nylon with glass-filled on/off Switch and a Manometer.
  • Is there any Warranty on IGT safety device?
  • Yes, IGT gas safety products are available with a 5 years warranty period. During this period, IGT will replace safety devices only in case of manufacturing defects or any Functionality issues.
